One person was arrested after Prince George RCMP headed to a Hart home on Wednesday, Jan. 29 as part of an investigation into a stolen pickup truck.
The home is located on the 2100 block of Shady Lane.
"Police officers located the stolen vehicle at the Shady Lane residence," stated Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, media relations officer for the Prince George RCMP. "As this house and those residing there are known to police for having weapons and committing violent acts, the risk to police and the public was deemed high. As such, the Emergency Response Team was tasked with searching the house and vehicle with frontline police officers as part of the ongoing investigation."
David Michael O'Neill, 37, of Prince George was arrested. Charges against him of robbery and forcible confinement were approved. He was held in custody.
Two other people were in the home, say police. One was arrested on an outstanding warrant while the third was released.
This investigation remains ongoing.
