Anti-salmon farm protesters demonstrate outside Fisheries Minister Jonathan Wilkinson’s constituency office in Lower Lonsdale on Tuesday (May 7).
This is in advance of a new policy on the testing of farmed salmon for PRV (piscine orthoreovirus) that is expected soon.
Last week, a group of angered anglers demonstrated outside Wilkinson's constituency office in protest of the federal government's catch-and-release rules concerning chinook salmon.
The new rules are expected to be in effect until July 31.
