An air quality advisory is now in place due to high concentrations of fine particulate matter
The advisory was invoked midday Monday and is expected to persist until weather conditions change, officials said.
Officials said the event is a particular concern for people with underlying health issues as well as pregnant women, infants, and older adults and they're urged to avoid strenuous activity while the advisory is in effect.
Also, bans on backyard burning and land clearing burning are in effect.
