A couple from Cache Creek is $500,000 richer after matching all four Extra numbers in the Oct. 2 Lotto 6/49 draw.
William Morgan and his wife Sandra purchased the winning ticket at the Northills Shopping Centre in Kamloops.
The pair was out grocery shopping when Morgan decided to check his tickets.
"When it said we won, I thought there was a glitch and had to get Sandra to check it again," says Morgan in a news release.
The Morgans started buying the Extra three months ago, "because we kept hearing of people winning on the Extra numbers."
As for what they plan to do with their winnings, trips to Hawaii and Las Vegas are on the list.
