A woman has been charged in connection with a seizure of an alleged kilogram of methamphetamine in Quesnel.
A count of possession for the purpose of trafficking has been approved for Helen Marie Mercieca, court records show.
Two people were arrested on Feb. 12 when RCMP in the community seized the drug during a traffic stop and as part of an investigation into an alleged supply of the drug from the Lower Mainland.
Mercieca has a criminal record that includes a trafficking-related conviction for an offence committed in Langley in 2003.
