Reporters took to the air Tuesday afternoon to survey the Tumbler Ridge structure and wildfire prevention efforts.
Smithers Fire and Rescue's Shane 'Boss' Vandewater spoke about the provincial and rural co-operation before the helicopter survey with pilot Kim Flamant of the fire suppression work in the area.
Officials are hopeful area residents could be back in their homes within a few days.
