Tim Horton’s says they are the victim of a hoax.

“We have no official plans to close any restaurants any further,” says a spokesperson with the company Thursday afternoon (March 26).

“While takeout and eat-in dining is no longer available, customers also will not be able to use the drive-thru or delivery."

When contacted by Glacier Media, Tim Hortons officials said they were still working on removing a Canada-eh.info story. Canada-eh.info reported the change will take into effect as of Monday.

“The information in this article is completely false. Tim Hortons continues to welcome guests for take-out purchases, drive-thru orders and where available delivery," they added.

“The original story was something that we are attempting to deal with at a legal level and we are not closing down any further than we already are."

“Our restaurants are open and here to serve you, through pick-up, drive-thru and delivery, where available. Thank you to our restaurant owners and team members for their continued commitment to serving our communities and those who serve our communities across Canada.”
