Expect some inclement weather on Wednesday.

A frontal system with strong pressure falls is forecast to deliver winds carrying speeds of 50-70 km/h with some higher gusts as it crosses the Central Interior, Environment Canada says in a special weather statement.

Thunderstorms during daylight hours are also in the cards, the agency says, and the pattern is expected to last from morning until early evening.

Along with Prince George, the statement is in effect for the Lakes District including Burns Lake, and Ootsa Lake; Chilcotin region including Tatlayoko Lake, Anahim Lake, and Puntzi Mountain; Stuart-Nechako region including Fort St. James and Vanderhoof; and Northern Cariboo including Quesnel.
