Prince George RCMP are investigating two separate incidents of gunplay reported within the span of about two hours during the early morning of Thurs., Nov. 4.

Shortly after 2:30 a.m., RCMP were called to the 6100 block of Poplar Place where they found a vehicle with several bullet holes in it.

Witnesses told police they saw an unfamiliar Dodge Ram pickup truck in the area at the time but it's unknown if the vehicle is related to the incident, RCMP said.

At 4:30 a.m., RCMP were called to disturbance at a 2200-block Queensway Street home where they  found two people inside with minor gunshot wounds.

Investigators believe the shots were fired from outside the home, RCMP added.

"Investigators believe these incidents to be unrelated and that both were targeted events," RCMP Cst. Jennifer Cooper said. "We do not currently believe that there is any increased risk to the public."

RCMP are also asking people with anyone with images from surveillance or dash cameras from either area at the time to contact the detachment at 250-561-3300.
