Leane Holmes of Houston started 2022 off with an ‘Extra’ big bang after she scored $500,000 on the New Year’s Day Lotto 6/49 draw.
She said “yes” to the Extra when she purchased her ticket at the 7-Eleven on Highway 16 in Smithers. She says she put the ticket in her pocket and kept it there until she pulled it out two days later to check it.
“Oh my God! I won! I actually won!” she said.
Holmes says she enjoys playing the lottery for the chance to dream and her dream has always been to buy her own home.
“It will change my life – big time.”
