Major crimes investigators have been called in to investigate after a 57-year-old woman was found dead inside a home in East Pine near Chetwynd.

“Investigators believe this to be an isolated incident, as a suspect was taken into custody without incident,” Sergeant Chris Manseau of the BC RCMP said in a news release issued Tuesday.

“Investigators are working closely with partners to determine the motive in this incident, and at this time there is nothing to indicate any threat to the public.”
