The lower parking lot at the Pidherny Recreation Site has been reopened to the public following completion of the first phase of a wildfire reduction thinning project in the area.
"As there is still ongoing work in the area, recreationalists are urged to be extra cautious while using the trails," B.C. Wildfire Service added in a statement issued Monday. "Crews remain on site to manually clean up debris and clear trails, weather permitting and as the snow melts."
The lower parking lot had been closed since December to give crews space to carry out the first phase of a two-year wildfire risk reduction project.
The upper parking lot at Pidherny was not affected.
