As COVID-19 is causing offices to close, local software company Two Story Robot is looking to help people transition to a remote workspace.

The company is based in Kamloops, but is a remote-first office, says Paige Whitson, the company's team coordinator. That means they've had plenty of experience with people working from remote locations like their homes.

"It's important to us that our work culture and practices support everybody working from wherever they want," she says.

With many offices across the province sending employees to work remotely, in an effort to slow the spread of the virus, Two Story Robot is offering a free webinar to teach other businesses the lessons they learned. It'll start at 11 a.m. tomorrow (March 17), and, logically, be available anywhere with an internet connection.

"A lot of people that are being asked or required to work from home don't have experience with that," Whitson tells KamloopsMatters.

The webinar will go over some of the tools they use, how to maintain a healthy work culture and more. It'll be for both employers and employees.

"(We'll talk about) certain practices to keep everybody aligned and accountable," Whitson says. "And allow for questions as well."

Participating in the webinar is easy; all anyone needs is a computer. It'll be done through Zoom, one of the tools she says they use to communicate. The link to participate is HERE.

"We understand a lot of people are out of their comfort zone," she says. "We're excited to be able to help the community."
