Bernier, who is also the Official Opposition Shadow Minister for Forestry, has been busy the last 48 hours discussing the issue after Canfor announced Wednesday it is permanently closing its sawmill and pellet plant in Chetwynd.
The Chetwynd closure is expected in April or May. The company said in a statement they are committed to supporting displaced employees.
