Believe it or not, it’s time to trade that Halloween “Boo!” for some holiday “Ho! Ho! Ho!”

If you are like the many who can’t wait to get into the festive spirit, you’ll be thrilled to know that Western Canada’s largest Christmas store has opened its doors for the 2019 season in the Lower Mainland.

You’ll have to hop in your sleigh — err, car — to head to Surrey to get a gander at the room upon room of yuletide shopping and displays you’ll find at The Christmas Store at Potters.

Every year since 2004, Potters Nursery has transformed itself into a veritable winter wonderland, with themed trees, thousands of twinkling lights, gifts and toys galore, and everything you need to make merry. They’ve got over 28,000 square feet of space dedicated to anything and everything Christmassy, from stocking stuffers to Santa hats and much (much, much!) more.

This year you’ll find a 3,000-square-foot “dark room” filled with themed lit trees — things like Star Wars, The Grinch, and other pop culture faves. New for 2019 is WhoVille, with a wide variety of Grinch-themed items including teddy bears, ornaments, mugs and snow globes. One of the themed trees set up this year is even set up upside down to look like a giant, sparkling ice cream cone. Hey, when you’ve got over 50,000 ornaments in stock, you can pull off these kinds of things.

Shop for your pet, your family, your friends, your co-workers, and — of course — yourself. There’s something for pretty much anyone on your list, including kids, foodies, sports fans, collectors, movie lovers, and more.
