Northern B.C. chamber of commerce executive director steps down

Duncan Malkinson has stepped down from the Executive Director role at the Dawson Creek Chamber of Commerce, after taking on the position in January 2023.

Duncan Malkinson has stepped down as the executive director role at the Dawson Creek Chamber of Commerce, after taking on the position in January 2023. 

Chamber President Heather Kohler says the organization has appreciated Malkinson’s time in the role, expressing their gratitude in a press release. 

“Duncan’s unwavering dedication, strategic leadership, and tireless commitment have greatly contributed to the chamber’s success during his brief tenure. We are immensely grateful for his service and wish him continued success in his future endeavours,” writes Kohler. 

Stewart Forrest has been announced as the new executive director, adds the release, and is currently being on-boarded to the role. 

“Stewart’s skills and experience align well with our vision for the chamber. We are excited about the value that he will bring to the membership,” Kohler writes further. 

Forrest has managed several pubs and bars, in addition to owning and operating a local wine cellar in Dawson Creek.
