The driver of a semi-truck who crashed on the Trans-Canada Highway Friday morning was handed a speeding ticket, but escaped uninjured.
At about 11:40 a.m., a semi-truck travelling westbound was passing other vehicles when it jackknifed, blocking all lanes of traffic. The road was covered in compact snow at the time.
No other vehicles were hit during the crash, and no was injured, but traffic was blocked in both directions for just over an hour.
DriveBC reports the Trans-Canada Highway has partially reopened to single-lane, alternating traffic at the scene of a crash just west of Revelstoke.
UPDATE - #BCHwy1 is now open to single lane alternating traffic west of #Revelstoke due to a vehicle incident. Expect delays.
