The Dawson Creek Mayor's office launched a youth survey on March 15, titled "Inspiring the Future: Make Your Voice Heard", seeking input to better understand the needs of youth in the community.

"Youth are extremely important to me. They are the future of our city, and it’s important to hear from the youth themselves what they are needing before we just assume. We’re looking forward to seeing what type of answers we get, and brainstorming how we can reach more youth in different ways in our community,” said Mayor Darcy Dober in press release.

The release notes Dober has been taking part in round tables hosted by the city with different groups, with one of the round table groups already providing services to youth in Dawson Creek, meeting every few months to discuss the needs of youth.

"In order to understand the needs of youth in the community, a simple survey has been developed to collect feedback from youth themselves," adds the release, encouraging youth ranging from 6-19 years of age to complete the survey.

The survey will be open until April 23, 2024 and can be found by clicking here
