The entrance of the Dawson Creek Art Gallery will be getting some work done this year, refreshing the building's entrance.

City contractors will set up in the parking lot next door to remove the existing siding roofing on the porch of their entrance, into the remaining winter. The gallery will remain open to the public, with a separate entrance on the east side of the building. They're aiming to have the new entrance finished by the start of summer.

"Temporary access will be established during this time, and access will be shuffled if there are any busy days in a particular spot, but aside from a couple of days during the project, we’ll be open and happy to see you," noted the gallery on Facebook.

The project is funded through the Northern Development Initiative Trust and the City of Dawson Creek, explained the post, thanking city staff for their hard work.

Residents are welcome to reach out to the gallery with any questions or concerns, they added.

"We are absolutely fired up about this project and we hope you are too. We look forward to unveiling the refreshed entrance and creating an even more inspiring space for art in the South Peace," ends their post.
