The City of Dawson Creek will celebrate Family Day on Feb. 19, and will host a series of free activities.
"All residents are encouraged to come out and celebrate Family Day together as a community," wrote the city in a press release
Activities include:
- Free Bounce Fest with several bouncy castles to play on from 10:00am to 1:00pm at the Ovintiv Events Centre Upper Lobby, sponsored by Birchcliff Energy.
- Free Public Swim from 11:00am to 3:00pm at the Kenn Borek Aquatic Centre, sponsored by Shell Canada.
- Free Public Skate with free skate and helmet rentals from 2:00pm to 4:30pm at the Memorial Arena, sponsored by the Masons (Peace Lodge 126) and Mile Zero Shrine Club.
The activities are sponsored by financial support from the Province of British Columbia, the British Columbia Recreation and Parks Association, and others, added the city.
