The Fort St. John RCMP say they executed several search warrants over the holiday season, seizing guns and suspected drugs.
On Dec. 24, 2023, their members executed a search warrant on a residence in relation to a theft, locating a handgun and drugs. A second search warrant was obtained and the handgun was found loaded. Police also seized suspected fentanyl and cocaine.
On Dec. 26, 2023, a search warrant was conducted in relation to a break and enter and an investigation into stolen firearms investigation. A shotgun, with the serial number filed off, was located and seized.
"The matters are still under investigation and several people could face charges when the matters are forwarded to BC Prosecution Service in the near future," they added.
