The Peace Liard Regional Arts Council refreshed their name to Arts North East last year to better reflect the regions they serve.

Arts North East has launched a new stakeholder survey and will use the input in developing a new strategic plan.

The survey is brief, but is intended to help the organization better serve creatives and communities in northeastern BC.

"All responses will be collected anonymously for internal use only," notes the survey's intro, and questions asked include:

  • What is the most significant barrier facing the development of arts, culture and heritage in northeastern BC?
  • What is needed to best support arts, culture and heritage in northeastern BC?
  • What kinds of support do you need as an artist or stakeholder?

The non-profit currently offers micro-grants for professional development and events in the region on a rolling basis, with a final deadline of Nov. 30.

A leadership grant offers members for up to $1,000 to attend professional development opportunities, such as conferences or workshops, while a regional development grant offers member organizations or individual members for up to $1,000 for events or projects that support arts, culture, and heritage.
