Advance voting results in for Prince George election

Simon Yu had a narrow lead in the race for mayor of Prince George in advance voting and mail-in ballots

Yu received 1,180 votes, head of Terri McConnachie (​1,093 votes), Roy Stewart (689 votes), Adam Hyatt (328 votes), Lisa Mitchell (143) and Chris Wood (34). Election Day voting results were not yet reported.

The City of Prince George reported the results of advance and mail-in ballots at 8:20 p.m

Brian Skakun (​2,305 votes) led the race for city council in the advance and mail-in vote.

Skakun was trailed by Garth Frizzell (​1,769 votes), Kyle Sampson (​1,633 votes), Cori Ramsay (​1,445 votes), Susan Scott (​1,373), Ron Polillo (​1,336 votes), Trudy Klassen (​1,232 votes), Tim Bennett (​1,229 votes), Wesley Mitchell (​1,074 votes), Cameron Stolz (1,030 votes), Karen Muir (​921 votes), Karm Manhas (​906 votes), John Zukowski (​891 votes), James Steidle (​871 votes), Colleen Mahoney (​775 votes), Chris Stern (​625 votes), Paul Serup (​474 votes), Doug Jeffery (​466 votes), Nour Salim (​397 votes) and Rick Cook (320 votes).

The council candidates with the eight highest number of votes, once election day votes have been calculated and added to the advance voting numbers, will be elected.
