Spruce Kings lost 2-1 to the Smoke Eaters in Trail Saturday. The next two playoff games go Monday Tuesday in Prince George.

During the second period:
TRA: On a four-minute power-play, the top power-play unit of the Smoke Eaters were able to convert. Kent Johnson got a feed on the backdoor and fired it glove side on Jett Alexander to give the Smoke Eaters the lead. Johnson’s first of the playoffs comes from Chase Dafoe and Owen Ozar at 14:44 of the 2nd period.

Third Period:
PG: On the power-play the puck found the stick of Fin Williams in the blue paint and shovelled it by goaltender Logan Terness to tie the game at one. Williams power-play tally and first of the post-season came from Nick Bochen and Nick Poisson at 14:16 of the third.

Overtime:
TRA: 6:23 into overtime, Owen Ozar got the puck to his backhand and had great patience and ripped it past Jett Alexander to give the Smoke Eaters a 2-1 overtime win. The Ozar winner came from Kent Johnson and Phillippe Lapointe.
