Francesco Bartolillo of the UNBC Timberwolves men's soccer team makes a diving header against Thomas Hammerton of the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns on Friday night at Masich Place Stadium. The Timberwolves and Pronghorns met in a Canada West regular-season game and the T-wolves - on a first-half goal by Bartolillo - won 1-0. Meanwhile, in Abbotsford on Friday, the UNBC women's soccer team fell 2-1 to the University of the Fraser Valley Cascades. The male Timberwolves (2-1-2) will host the Calgary Dinos (3-4-0) on Sunday at noon, while the UNBC women (1-2-2) will face the Trinity Western University Spartans (4-1-0) today in Langley (5 p.m. start). The Spartans lost for the first time this season on Friday night when they fell 3-2 to the MacEwan University Griffins of Edmonton. The Griffins improved to 3-1-1.
