Tonight, the Prince George Midget Knights invite you to come out to Citizen Field at 6 to welcome back the team from its successful trip to Manitoba.

The Knights will be officially presented with the BC Baseball provincial banner for taking the B.C. championship.

That earned them a berth in the national regional tournament, where they again emerged victorious, so they will also be presented tonight with Baseball Canada's Western Canadian Championship plaque.

"This plaque has never been won by a B.C. double-A team before and the Knights would like to share this moment with all their fans and supporters," said team representative Dylan Lukinchuk.

The Knights are coupling the awards ceremony with an entertaining game. They hone their skills by playing in the city's senior baseball league, and tonight is their first tilt since the Western Canadian title win.

"Be sure to check out the Knights Kitchen as well, as all proceeds from our concession go towards our Midget Knights to help with the travel and hotel expenses," Lukinchuk said.

The games are free to watch.
