The Prince George Cougars are excited to announce their inaugural Pro-D Day Hockey School, presented by Schultz Craftsman Collision, on Friday, September 25th at Kin 2.

The first in a series of Pro-D Day hockey camps will include one-hour ice sessions for elite and recreational level players.

All ice sessions will be instructed by the Cougars’ coaching staff, led by general manager/head coach and Stanley Cup champion Mark Lamb. Lamb will be joined by associate coach Jason Smith (WHL & NHL alum), goaltending coach Taylor Dakers (AHL & WHL alum), and development coach Steve O’Rourke (WHL & Pro alum). Combined, the Cougars’ coaching staff brings over 1,500 games of NHL and over 1,100 of professional playing experience (North America & Europe), along with 39 seasons of coaching experience (AHL, NHL, WHL) to the camp.

“During these challenging times, we as an organization felt it was important to offer our support to the local and regional minor hockey community,” said Lamb. “I’m proud that our coaching staff is taking up a leadership role in helping develop our local minor hockey players. We are excited to provide ice sessions not only tailored to the elite level player but also those recreational level players who are looking for a great experience.”

Each elite level (9-12 years old) ice session is $35 per person. Participants will experience elite level skills development for position specific training (defence, forwards, and goaltenders). Each participant for elite level ice sessions will also receive a game voucher for a future Cougars’ regular season home game.

Each rec level ice session is $30 per person. Participants will receive a camp jersey and game voucher for a future Cougars’ regular season home game as well. Rec level ice sessions will feature small area 3-on-3 games with a strong focus on fun!
