Duchess Park, College Heights advance to JV football final

After running roughshod over their semifinal playoff opponents Wednesday at Masich Place Stadium, the stage is set for the Duchess Park Condors and College Heights Cougars.
They'll meet next week for bragging rights in the North Division P.G. Bowl junior varsity football championship.
The Condors clobbered the Kelly Road Roadrunners 45-0 on Wednesday, while in the afternoon game the Cougars spanked the Prince George Polars 40-6.
The Cougars and Condors play each other for the title next Wednesday at 7 p.m. on the field turf at Masich.
College Heights is the defending champion of the North Division. Last season, after celebrating a 40-14 win over the Nechako Valley Vikings they advanced to the B.C. Secondary School Football Association quarterfinal round and defeated the South Kamloops Titans 33-19 at Masich. The following week, in their semifinal playoff in Kamloops, he Cougars lost 36-26 to the Windsor Dukes of North Vancouver.
Today at Northern Conference double-A varsity playoff action at Masich, the undefeated Nechako Valley Vikings (3-0) take on the winless (0-3) Prince George Polars at 4:30 p.m. The second-place College Heights Cougars (2-1) face the third-place Kelly Road Roadrunners (1-2) in the other semifinal at 7 p.m., also at Masich.
The winners advance to the P.G. Bowl double-A varsity championship on Nov. 1.
In their only regular season matchups this season, on Oct. 5, Nechako Valley won 1-0 by default over the Polars, who were unable to field a full squad for the game. College Heights beat Kelly Road 46-16 that same day.
