Prince George-Peace River-Northern Rockies MP Bob Zimmer has been named the Opposition Conservative's shadow minister for Northern Affairs and Northern Economic Development Agency.
Conservative leader Andrew Scheer announced the appointment Friday. Zimmer said he was honoured by the move.
"I was born and raised in the North and I look forward to continuing to be a strong advocate for Canada's northern communities with this new role and holding the Liberal government to account on issues that affect Canadians living in these regions," he said in a statement.
