A bank at Pine Centre Mall was the scene of a disturbing act on Wednesday that is now making the rounds in the form of a video on social media.

It shows a man walking up to the door at TD Canada Trust then wiping his hands on it - and also appearing to be licking it.

One of those in the lineup posted a video on social media. (Click here to see it).

"Waiting patiently in the line up for the bank today and this individual lost his mind and started spitting, coughing and licking the door handle," the poster said.

The poster suspects the man was acting out because, like many other businesses, the branch had devoted its first hour of operations to seniors and people in need.

"Apparently this is 'unacceptable' and 'bullshit,' so buddy decided to make a fuss about it and endanger the lives around him with his actions.

"The manager and employees handled this situation perfectly. The police have been notified with his license plate number and have been sent a copy of this video."

Prince George RCMP said they have a suspect identified and are investigating.

Meanwhile, in an emailed response to the story, TD Canada Trust public affair manager Ryan-Sang Lee urged customers to bank digitally and avoid coming into branches. The bank has closed down its two other branches in the city for the time being.
