Wildfires north of city under control

A trio of small wildfires north of the city are now out or under control, according to information released by the B.C. Wildfire Service.

As of Tuesday morning, a 0.6 hectare fire near Willow River, roughly 36 kilometres northeast of the city and a second fire, half the size, north of Eaglet Lake were both extinguished

A 0.2 ha fire south of Summit Lake – roughly 50 km north of the city – was under control, the B.C. Wildfire Service reported.

All three fires were reported on Sunday.
