Prince George's three Salvation Army thrift stores will reopen on Wednesday with measures in place in answer to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Those measures include enhanced daily cleaning procedures, increased sanitization of commonly touched surfaces, installation of hand sanitizer stations and protective equipment for staff.

"We are excited to get back to business," Prince George Salvation Army community ministries director Roy Law said. "At the same time, we want to ensure we are doing our part to keep our staff and the community safe. So things may look a bit different in terms of the service delivery, but the same open and hospitable experience will be made available to all."

The stores are located at 3500 18th Avenue, 6487 Hart Hwy, and 4488 Hwy 16.

Funds from the stores' operations support a range of local social programs and services.
