"I feel great," Lyn Hall said Saturday after winning a second term as mayor of Prince George. "This was a much different campaign than we had in 2014. We were really wanting to have a really good showing and we've seen that tonight and we're very pleased."

During the campaign Hall said he heard a lot about the city's infrastructure needs and affordable housing. People want to be informed about the details of why new infrastructure is required, where it's going to be improved upon and what that process looks like, Hall explained.

"People want more communication about where we are on infrastructure upgrades," he added.

Hall said he'll hold more Talktober events where the community can come together with council and mayor in townhall-style meetings.

"And, of course, we've got a new pool and a new firehall that will be starting construction in 2019, so those will be two big projects," Hall said. "I want to continue looking for developers who are interested in building seniors housing, particularly in the Hart area. There's a demand for it all over our city but I think that will be a real focus of mine as well."

Hall said pushing for more development will also create jobs for Prince George residents.

"It means those young folks coming out of CNC and UNBC have an opportunity to stay in Prince George," he said. "Housing is affordable. They have huge opportunity here. So every time we talk about a new development or announce more development that really means, for me, that we're going to have more jobs for folks here in Prince George."

Hall would not say if he would run for a third term in 2022.

"This has been a real family participation for us and I'll have to talk to my wife, Lorrelle, and my two daughters and see what that looks like down the road," Hall said. "For now I'm concentrating on getting back to work Monday morning."
