Three sessions of fire training will be taking place at the Prince George Airport this month.

The first is scheduled for Tuesday, 7-8 a.m. and 1-3 p.m., followed by Tues., Oct. 9, 7-9 a.m. and Wed., Oct. 24, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

The fires they're fighting could produce dark smoke but it's nothing to worry about, according to the Prince George Airport Authority.

"These fires are held in self-contained training facilities under controlled circumstances and are part of ongoing recurrent fire training and certification," the agency said in a statement.

It's asking residents to refrain from calling emergency services if they see smoke coming from the location.
