For the second time in less than a month, Prince George RCMP have issued an alert for a man suspected of breaching his conditional sentence order.

Colin Michaud Durrand, 29, is described as Caucasian, 188 cm (6'2") tall and weighing 76 kg (168 lbs) with black hair and brown eyes. Durrand was recently known to be residing in Quesnel, but may frequent Prince George and Hixon, police said.

In August, Durrand was sentenced to a six-month conditional sentence order followed by six-months probation for resisting arrest.

On Sept. 21, a warrant for Durrand's arrest had been issued and on Oct. 8, he was sentenced to time served for breaching the order. By then, he had spent nine days in custody.

Police had tracked him down to a home on Boyd Street, near near First Avenue and Ospika Boulevard. Two days after the arrest, police were back at the same home and seized two explosive devices along with drugs and weapons.

An arrest warrant for an alleged second breach by Durrand was issued on Oct. 19, according to court records.

Durrand has a history of violence and should not be approached. Instead, contact Prince George RCMP immediately if you see him.

Anyone with information about Colin Michaud Durrand or where he might be is asked to contact the Prince George RCMP at 250-561-3300 or anonymously contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.pgcrimestoppers.bc.ca (English only). You do not have to reveal your identity to Crime Stoppers. If you provide information that leads to an arrest, you could be eligible for a cash reward.
