Two women suspected of holding up a local credit union branch have been charged.
Candace Selina Williams, 36, and Ashley Van Metre, 23, each face a count of robbery from the incident on Wednesday afternoon, according to court records.
The two were apprehended within a half hour of police being called to the Spruce Credit Union at 897 Victoria St. Two women demanded cash from a teller. No weapons were produced, RCMP said.
Williams has a lengthy record for minor offences committed in Prince George, Smithers and Hazelton.
The two remained in custody as of Thursday.
