City of Prince George utility bills for water, sewer and garbage collection are due today.

Homeowners who don't pay their bills by the end of the business day today will face a 10 per cent penalty on their bills.

For single-family homes the six-month utility bills range from $574 to $619.50, while for strata units the bills range between $448 and $493. The 10 per cent penalty for late payment ranges from $44.80 to $61.95, depending on original bill amount.

Payments can be made at city hall until 5 p.m. today by cheque, cash or debit card.

Cheques can be mailed to city hall, but must arrive today to count as having been paid on time.

For those not wanting to pay in person, city utility bills can be paid online or over the phone through your bank or by using the PayTM Canada mobile app.
