Alzheimer Society hosting hiking challenge

Prince George residents are invited to participate in the B.C. Alzheimer Society's 70,000-kilometre hiking challenge. Set for Mon., Sept. 21 - World Alzheimer's Day - participants are welcome to take pledges and then go for a hike on that day.

Prince George residents are invited to participate in the B.C. Alzheimer Society's 70,000-kilometre hiking challenge.

Set for Mon., Sept. 21 - World Alzheimer's Day - participants are welcome to take pledges and then go for a hike on that day. 70,000 represents the number of people living with dementia in B.C.

The event has traditionally been held on Grouse Mountain in North Vancouver, but with the COVID-19 pandemic, it's been moved to a new format that lets anyone in B.C. to participate without leaving their communities.
