A small fire at University Hospital of Northern B.C. on the third floor of the hospital was reported Wednesday night.
Prince George Fire Rescue was dispatched to hospital in response to a Code Red issued by hospital staff at about 9 p.m. Wednesday.
"It was on the third floor, I don't know where, but it had nothing to do with patients," said Northern Health spokesperson Eryn Collins. "It more of a heating up of a meal gone wrong,, truly not a big deal. There was no smell of smoke and no damage."
The incident was dealt with by hospital personnel before firefighters arrived at the scene and after a brief investigation the fire crew returned to the downtown hall.
