The Prince George Barracudas were the big fish in the pool.
The Barracudas hosted and won the Northern Medical Sprints, held at the Aquatic Centre on the weekend. Local swimmers combined to finish ahead of Points North, Fort St. John, Quesnel, Williams Lake and Chetwynd.
Individually, Sava Yungman of the Barracudas was blazing-fast all weekend. Competing in the men's division, he set new club records in the 100-metre freestyle (one minute 54.65 seconds), 200m backstroke (2:07.95), 50m butterfly (26.50), 100m butterfly (56.67) and 200m butterfly (2:05.14).
