More than 1,200 B.C. Hydro customers in Prince George were still without power Monday evening, with no promise light would return before Tuesday morning. The utility was estimating power would pick up by 6 a.m.

Prince George RCMP are investigating a report of a man trying to lure a child into his vehicle near Quinson elementary school on Monday morning. The suspect is described as dark skinned, with dark hair and a beard but no mustache and with blue eyes.

Strong winds that may cause damage are expected to sweep through Prince George this evening, Environment Canada said in a weather warning.
