Richmond drivers asked for dashcam footage after pedestrian suffers life-threatening injuries

Richmond drivers are being asked to check their dashcam footage, after a pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries Monday afternoon.

Richmond RCMP said the woman – a 57-year-old Chinese national - was struck by a vehicle near the intersection of Bridgeport and Sexsmith roads at around 1:35 p.m. on Monday.

The driver of the white GMC Savana van involved in the collision remained at the scene and was cooperative with police.

The injured woman, said police, has life-threatening injuries and remains in hospital.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, and anyone who may have captured the collision on dashcam, cell phone or another recording device, is asked to contact Richmond RCMP at 604-278-1212, quoting file number 2022-31339.
