A person suspected of stealing a bike from a local shop - and wielding a weapon during the robbery - was apprehended within a half hour of the incident, Prince George RCMP say.
On Wednesday, police were called to the 1600 block of Nicholson shortly after 4 p.m. They immediately flooded the area and with help of descriptions from several witnesses were able to quickly track down the suspect and return the bike to the store, RCMP say.
When an employee had approached the suspect, the person was threatened with a weapon, but no injuries were reported, RCMP say.
Charges remain pending against the suspect, whose name was not provided but RCMP say is well known to police.
