Men charged with alleged Richmond home invasion released on bail

Li Fu Alex Ni and Mickey Harold Leo appeared before the Richmond Provincial Court for their respective bail hearings on Aug. 16.

Two men are facing charges for an alleged home invasion in Richmond. 

Li Fu Alex Ni and Mickey Harold Leo are alleged to be part of a group that broke into a home on Sunnyholme Crescent, near No. 3 and Blundell roads, in February of 2020.

The pair appeared separately from custody for bail hearings at Richmond Provincial Court on Tuesday. 

As well as the home invasion, Ni faces unrelated charges including trafficking firearms, weapons and illegal substances between 2020 and 2021. 

Conditions for Ni's release include a named surety of $5,000, compliance with electronic supervision and a curfew from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. 

He is also forbidden from possessing weapons and tools that can be used for criminal activity, contacting his co-accused, and going to 7540 Broadmoor Blvd and 7680 Sunnyholme Crescent. 

Leo, meanwhile, was granted bail without financial obligations, but with the conditions that he does not contact his co-accused or the alleged victims of the home invasion and he does not go to 7680 Sunnyholme Crescent. 

Like Ni, Leo is forbidden from possessing weapons or tools capable of use for criminal activities. He is also not allowed to possess any identification documents other than those in his name.
