Between the website and the newspaper, we publish millions of words each year. That means we're bound to make spelling and grammar mistakes, not to mention some factual errors. We don't do it on purpose and we don't do it to annoy anyone. We do it because we're human and our jobs are as busy and hectic as everyone else.
Some regular readers, like Judy Feyer, often help us out by clicking on the "see a typo/mistake?" option at the end of each of our stories and letting us know when they see something wrong. Judy is super precise when she sends us a fix because she includes the entire sentence, putting the mistake in brackets and describing what she thinks it should read. It doesn't take long for her to do and those little things help us find and fix the mistakes quickly.
If you'd like to be Judy, we'd like you to do it because you care about local journalism and about your fellow local residents who are the reporters and writers who do this work. And once in a while, we'll recognize someone like Judy. We all need more people in the community who not only see problems but see easy ways to fix them for everyone's benefit.
So thanks, Judy, for helping us be better and have a nice meal from our friends at Original Joe's.
