Charges approved In home invasion investigation

Charges have been approved against three persons believed to have been involved in a New Years Day home invasion in the city.

After 10:00 pm on Tuesday, Jan. 1, Prince George RCMP responded to a report of a home invasion on the 1700 block of Tamarack Street in the city. Three people were arrested and taken into custody a short time later.

The following charges have been approved against 29 year old (28 at the time of the offence) Prince George resident, Allan Troy Baker:

Aggravated Assault

Assault with a Weapon (two counts)

Uttering Threats

Break & Enter

Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to the Public Peace

Knowingly Possess a Firearm without a Licence

Use Firearm During the Commission of an Indictable Offence

Use Imitation Firearm During the Commission of an Indictable Offence

Pointing a Firearm

Breach of Recognizance (two counts)

Possession of a Weapon while Prohibited (three counts)

The following charges have been approved against 47-year-old Verna Anne Carpenter and 25-year-old Alisha Michelle Penner, both of Prince George:

Unlawful Confinement

Assault with a Weapon

Baker has been held in custody at least until his next court appearance scheduled for later today. Carpenter and Penner have been released on documents to appear in court in Prince George on Feb. 27.
