Charges have been approved against three people believed to have been involved in a New Years Day home invasion, Prince George RCMP said Thursday.

Allan Troy Baker, 28, faces 15 charges, including a count of aggravated assault and two counts of assault with a weapon and Verna Anne Carpenter, 47, and Alisha Michelle Penner, 25, each face one count each of unlawful confinement and assault with a weapon.

The three allegedly broke into a 1700 block Tamarack Street home and were later located at the hospital with one of them suffering a knife wound from a scuffle at the home.

Police also seized a vehicle in the hospital parking lot believed to have been used in the incident and were also looking for another male suspect and a gun allegedly used at the home, although they do not believe any shots were fired.

As of Thursday morning, Baker remained in custody while Carpenter and Penner have been released on documents to appear in court on Feb. 27.
