A Burnaby private school saw multiple COVID-19 exposures last week.

The Fraser Health school exposures website lists St. Thomas More has having exposures on Dec. 14, 15, 16 and 17.

The site also lists 20 different Burnaby schools with exposures.

For private schools, the list also includes Holy Cross Elementary School. Holy Cross saw exposures from Dec. 14-16.

The Burnaby public elementary schools include Cascade Heights, Edmonds, Kitchener, South Slope, Cameron, Glenwood, Lakeview, Morley, Tayler Park, Windsor, Cascade Heights and Suncrest.

For Edmonds, there was a whopping eight exposure days listed by Fraser Health, from Dec. 10-15 and Dec. 17 and 18.

For high schools, the list includes Alpha, Burnaby Central, Burnaby Mountain, Burnaby North, Byrne Creek and Cariboo Hill.

The five dates for Burnaby Mountain Secondary follow one of its students writing to the NOW about not seeing many others at the school following protocols.

“I currently attend Burnaby Mountain Secondary School and have noticed some unsettling things,” the student wrote. “I see that not everyone at school practices social distancing and sometimes do not care about masks or the COVID-19 virus.”

It should be noted that these are just the high schools listed by Fraser Health at this moment. There are some elementary schools listed on the site. There are probably others as there is a lag time between when parents receive notices and when Fraser Health posts the exposures.
