A man arrested last year in Dawson Creek has a one day trial scheduled for later this year.

In March, a man got into an altercation with the manager of the No Frills grocery store. Dawson Creek RCMP attended the store after reports of a disturbance at the time and took a man into custody.

During the Dawson Creek incident, the man frequently repeated the words "citizen's arrest" in an attempt to detain No Frills manager Dave Krane.

Kevin J. Johnston's trial has been scheduled for Sept. 23 in Dawson Creek.

In May, Alberta Health Services was granted a restraining order against Johnston after he made threatening marks online toward the government organization.
