Teenage girl assaulted by stranger, RCMP say

Prince George RCMP are on the lookout for a man suspected of randomly assaulting a teenage girl east of the Crescents neighbourhood on Wednesday morning.

The suspect is described as a larger Caucasian male, possibly around six feet tall, wearing a black sweater and runners and may have a beard.

The incident allegedly occurred sometime before 11 a.m. in the 1700 block of Fourth Avenue - between Winnipeg and Prince Rupert streets. 

Police are asking anyone with dashcam footage who may have been driving through the area sometime between 10:15 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. to contact the detachment.

The 17-year-old victim was wearing a red jacket and carrying a green backpack and investigators do not believe the suspect was known to the vicitm.
